Objectives
Quality
is an integral part of VSM day to day work. Quality reflects approach to all
aspects of conduct and policy in ship management, design and project
management. Quality means safety, punctuality and efficiency in securing the
requirements of the customers.
VSM objective is to ensure that its policies are implemented and maintained at all
levels of the organization both ship based and shore based in order to maintain quality.
VSM will ensure that its policies are clear and are in plain and simple language
without any ambiguity, so that the policies are well understood by each employee, both in
shore and in ship based establishments. To have regular feedback from the Masters of its
vessels.
To discuss incidents with the persons directly involved in it, in order to improve the
scope of its policy, that the policies will be reviewed frequently so that they remain
relevant and effective, that the policies will be updated as and when required.
The management will be PRO-ACTIVE instead of RE-ACTIVE in matters concerning safety. VSM will continuously improve the
motivation of its staff and crew members through daily management and repeated training
onboard and ashore.
Last but not the least VSM will ensure that all its operational procedures are documented
in a systematic manner, in order to make them usable and which will be subject to
continuous improvement. |
